Catalonia by stages

From the Val D’Aran to the Costa Brava: The Val D’Aran is the only part of Catalonia located on the Northern side of the Pyrenees, granted administrative and political autonomy in 1313 and having its own language and customs. The territory is surrounded by mountains of over 3000 metres high and is connected to Catalonia by the Vielha tunnel. The Costa Brava is one of the most romantic, gorgeous, unspoilt stretches of coast in Europe. Gloriously wild in parts and tastefully manicured in others, the Costa has some of the finest Blue Flag beaches in Europe, from broad and sandy stretches to elegant horseshoe bays and secluded smugglers’ coves.

This trip uses Paradores for accommodation – Paradores are converted historic buildings, for this trip we have selected several that include a Renaissance Cloister, a 9th Century Castle and a Catalan Farmhouse.

This is a fully guided and supported trip with professional cycling guides and support vehicle. Designed for those cyclists looking for a mountain challenge combined with a gastronomic experience.
